¿Qué es una UPS o Sistema de Alimentación ininterrumpida?
Un sistema de alimentación ininterrumpida (UPS) es un dispositivo que suministra energía eléctrica a los equipos durante un corte de energía.
También se le conoce como SAI, que son las siglas en inglés de Uninterruptible Power Supply.
¿Qué funciones tiene un UPS?
Proporciona energía de emergencia cuando falla la fuente de alimentación principal
Protege contra sobretensiones.
Acondiciona la energía sucia entrante para proporcionar energía limpia

UPS Off-line: Son los más económicos y recomendables para sitios con pocos cortes de energía
UPS In-line: Ofrecen protección contra subidas de tensión y son recomendables para equipos de oficina.
UPS On-line: Convierten la energía eléctrica en corriente continua y luego
de nuevo en alterna
