(Sistemas de Puesta contra Tierra).
¿Qué es un STP o Sistemas de Puesta contra Tierra?
Un sistema de puesta a tierra (SPT) es un conjunto de conductores eléctricos que conectan la instalación eléctrica con la tierra. Su función es proteger a las personas y los equipos eléctricos de descargas eléctricas peligrosas.
Funciones del SPT:
Limitar la tensión de las masas metálicas respecto a tierra
Derivar la energía de sobretensión hacia la puesta a tierra
Garantizar condiciones de seguridad a los seres vivos
Conducir y disipar las corrientes de falla, electrostática y de rayo
Componentes del SPT Electrodo de puesta a tierra, Conductor de puesta a tierra, Anillo de puesta a tierra.
Tipos de SPT
Sistema TT: Cada equipo eléctrico está conectado directamente a un electrodo puesto en tierra
Sistema TN: Todas las partes metálicas de la instalación están conectadas a un punto de conexión con la tierra
Sistema IT: La fuente de energía se encuentra aislada de la tierra.
Consideraciones:
El tipo de SPT a utilizar debe tener en cuenta varios factores, como la resistencia del terreno, la topografía y el tipo de instalación.
